  2. This itinerary is for first vist in Japan, like me, spend 20 days look around like a typical tourist.

Day 1: Arrive at Narita Airport, and spend the remaining day in Tokyo.

Day 2-4: Spend two full days in Tokyo and one day in nearby Kamakura.

Visits in Tokyo:Shinjuku,Large entertainment, shopping and business district; Shibuya, busy district for younger generations; Sensoji Temple, large temple in the Asakusa area; Palace East Gardens, the public gardens of the Imperial Palace; Imperial Palace , is located in the center of Tokyo;Tsukiji Fish Market ,one of the world's largest fish markets; NHK Studiopark, take a look behind the scenes of NHK broadcasting.

Kamakura is an easy day trip from Tokyo where is full of temples and historical monuments.

Day 7: In the morning, travel from Nagoya to Takayama (2.5 hours) and spend the afternoon and evening exploring Takayama. Takayama is a city in the mountainous Hida region of Gifu Prefecture, which has retained a traditional touch like few other Japanese cities, especially in its beautifully preserved old town. Visit Old Town, beautifully preserved old town; Hida Folk Village, wonderful open air museum; Takayama Festival, held on two days in spring and autumn

Day 8: Spend most of the day in Takayama. Leave the city in the afternoon for Kanazawa (2.5 hours) and spend the evening and night in Kanazawa.

Day 9: Spend a full day in Kanazawa. Kanazawa's importance grew in the 15th century, when the powerful and militant Ikko sect established its new headquarters there after being chased out of Kyoto by the monks of Mt.Hiei. Visit Kenrokuen Japan's most famous landscape garden; Kanazawa Castle, Ishikawa Gate is the best known, remaining structure; Nagamachi District Several samurai houses remain in this district.

Day 10: Leave Kanazawa in the morning for Kyoto. Spend the afternoon and evening exploring Kyoto.

Day 11-14: Spend three full days in Kyoto and one day in nearby Nara. Nara is an easy day trip from Kyoto.

Kyoto was Japan's capital and the emperor's residence from 794 until 1868. It is now the country's seventh largest city with a population of 1.4 million people and a modern face. Visit Kyoto Imperial Palace The emperor's residence until 1868; Nijo Castle, Kyoto residence of the Tokugawa shogun; Sanjusangendo, hall exhibiting 1001 Kannon statues; Kiyomizudera, temple famous for its large terrace; Ginkakuji Silver Pavilion - not actually covered in silver; Kinkakuji, Golden Pavilion - actually covered in gold; Kurama, rural town with temple and hot spring; Katsura Villa, extremely beautiful imperial villa.
In Nara visit Todaiji, huge temple housing Japan's largest Buddha statue; Horyuji, temple with the world's oldest wooden structures

Day 15: In the morning, travel from Kyoto to Mount Koya (3 hours) and overnight there at a temple.

Day 16: Spend the morning at Mount Koya. Around noon, take the train to Osaka (2 hours) and spend the afternoon, evening and night there. Osaka is Japan's third largest and second most important city. It has been the economic powerhouse of the Kansai region for many centuries. Visit Osaka Castle, reconstruction of the great castle; Minami, famous entertainment and shopping district; Sumiyoshi Taisha Osaka's most prominent shrine

Day 17: In the early morning, travel from Osaka to Hiroshima (2 hours) and visit the Peace Park. In the afternoon, continue to Miyajima and overnight there.Miyajima (literally "shrine island") has been celebrated as a sacred island and one of Japan's three most scenic views. It is most famous for Itsukushima Shrine, which, together with its large wooden torii (gate), stands in the ocean during high tide. Visit Itsukushima Shrine, famous for its large gate standing in the ocean.

Day 18: Get up early and spend the morning on Miyajima. Then continue to Nagasaki on the island of Kyushu (4.5 hours) and spend the evening and night there.

Day 19: Spend a full day in Nagasaki. Nagasaki is an attractively situated port city on the island of Kyushu and the capital of Nagasaki Prefecture. Visit Nagasaki Peace Park, commemorating the drop of the atomic bomb; Sofukuji, Obaku Zen temple with a Chinese appearance

Day 20: Leave Nagasaki in the morning for Himeji (4-5 hours). Spend the afternoon exploring Himeji Castle. Return to Tokyo in the evening (3-4 hours).

    For somehow part of my itinerary missing.

    The day 5:
    From Tokyo, make a day trip to Nikko.
    Nikko is a small city at the entrance to Nikko National Park. It is most famous for the Toshogu, Japan's most lavishly decorated shrine complex and mausoleum of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the founder of the Tokugawa shogunate.
    Visit Toshogu Shrine, mausoleum of the first Tokugawa shogun Ieyasu; Yumoto Onsen, hot spring resort in the national park.

    Day 6: In the early morning, travel from Tokyo to Ise (3.5 hours) and visit the Ise Shrines. In the late afternoon, return to Nagoya (90 minutes) and spend the evening and night there. With over two million inhabitants, Nagoya is Japan's fourth most populated city. It is the capital of Aichi Prefecture and the principal city of the Nobi plain, one of Honshu's three large plains and industrial centers. Visit Nagoya Castle Reconstruction of the original castle; Tokugawa Art Museum exhibiting the treasures of the former feudal lords
